I was hooked from the moment Emma and Luke's ice-fishing encounter was narrated with just the right amount of playful tension. Erin Mallon's portrayal of Emma is spot-on, capturing her wit and vulnerability, while Teddy Hamilton's Luke is equal parts charming and swoon-worthy. The pacing is perfect, allowing the story to breathe and the characters to develop naturally. My only critique is that I wish there were more scenes with Emma's quirky family, as they added a unique dynamic to the story. Overall, Next in Line is a must-listen for anyone who enjoys a good rom-com with a dash of unexpected twists.
