As a listener, I was immediately hooked by Renée Raudman's performance—her voice carries a perfect balance of energy and vulnerability, making Cammie's internal monologues feel raw and authentic. The narration's pacing is flawless, never dragging during action sequences or letting emotional beats fizzle out. What stood out most was how Carter crafts Cammie's world: the Gallagher Academy feels like a real, dangerous place, and the spycraft is taught with equal parts theory and street-smart grit. The only minor critique? Some of the secondary characters could use slightly more development, but that’s a nitpick in a book this exciting.
