About This Audiobook

Dan Brown’s *Origine* hurtles you into a race against time where every clue could rewrite human history. When tech billionaire Edmond Kirsch unveils a world-changing discovery in Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum, his presentation is cut short by a stunning murder. Robert Langdon, the symbologist with a knack for decoding apocalyptic symbols, barely escapes with his life—and a cryptic video hinting at Kirsch’s revolutionary findings. What follows is a globe-trotting thriller where Langdon navigates ancient myths, cutting-edge science, and religious dogma to uncover a revelation that could dismantle centuries of faith. Brown’s signature blend of high-stakes suspense and intellectual intrigue is dialed to eleven here, with enough twists to keep even the most jaded mystery buff guessing. Expect labyrinthine puzzles, a villain who feels genuinely unsettling, and a finale that lands with the force of a theological earthquake. This isn’t just a whodunit—it’s a *why’d they do it* that demands your full attention.

Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

François d’Aubigny’s narration is the glue holding this sprawling, sometimes convoluted audiobook together. His crisp, measured delivery for Langdon’s dry wit contrasts beautifully with the urgency of the thriller sequences—he doesn’t overact, but his pacing *accelerates* your heartbeat when the stakes rise. The real star, though, is his ability to make Brown’s dense scientific and historical tangents feel like puzzle pieces instead of lecture notes. That said, the audiobook stumbles in a few spots. The Spanish and Basque phrases sprinkled throughout are either butchered or delivered with such exaggerated reverence that they feel like outdated World Religions 101 flashbacks. And while the third-act twist is undeniably bold, the payoff drags for at least an hour, with Langdon’s internal monologue veering into *infodump territory*. Still, if you love Robert Langdon as much as I do, d’Aubigny’s performance will ruin all other audiobook narrators for you. The production quality is pristine, with a subtle score that cues tension like a metronome—minor nitpicks aside, this is Dan Brown at his most ambitious, and the audiobook does justice to its cinematic scope.
