That stubbornness makes her eventual surrender to the romance satisfying, not saccharine. Mason Lloyd’s narration is a masterclass in tonal range. His Georgia is all clipped vowels and exasperated sighs, while Rocky’s voice—deep, slightly gravelly, with a cadence that suggests English isn’t his first language—sells the alien-ness without veering into caricature. The production is clean, though I docked half a star for a few awkward pauses in the first chapter where the editing felt just a hair too tight, chopping off the natural breath between lines.
