She’s not the usual sunbeam to his storm; she’s a woman who’s already survived her own hell and isn’t looking for a project. Their chemistry is a slow burn with a fuse you can *hear* sizzling—especially in the diner scenes, where Lloyd’s delivery turns even a simple ‘coffee?’ into a loaded question. The suspense thread—Preacher’s betrayal and the looming MC threat—could’ve felt tacked-on, but West weaves it into the emotional core. And while Lloyd nails the male POVs, his female voices occasionally veer into breathy caricature, a jarring contrast to Erin’s otherwise sharp dialogue.
