I found myself completely engrossed in Scorched Souls from the very beginning. Virtual Voice's narration is top-notch, with a captivating tone that perfectly complements the eerie atmosphere of the story. The plot is intricately woven, keeping me on the edge of my seat as I followed the characters on their journey to uncover the truth behind the supernatural events that plague their small town. I appreciated the pacing of the audiobook, with well-placed pauses and a steady rhythm that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the world Magee had created. One critique I have is that at times, the story could have used more in-depth character development to make the relationships between the characters feel more authentic. Overall, though, I thoroughly enjoyed this thrilling and haunting listen and would highly recommend it to fans of the mystery and supernatural genres.
