Stay Buried

As an audiobook editor, I was immediately drawn into the world of Stay Buried, where the sleepy façade of rural Wiltshire conceals a tangled web of crimes and lies. James Lailey's narration is a key component of this immersive experience, bringing a sense of depth and authenticity to the story. His measured pace allowed me to follow the complex plot threads without feeling overwhelmed, and his tone expertly conveyed the range of emotions that the characters experienced. One of the strengths of Stay Buried is its use of atmosphere and setting to build tension and suspense. The author's vivid descriptions of the Wiltshire landscape made me feel like I was right there with Lockyer, navigating the narrow lanes and crumbling cottages of the countryside. However, at times the pacing felt a bit uneven, with a few sections feeling slightly rushed. This was a minor quibble, however, and overall I found Stay Buried to be a compelling and engaging listen.
