Hallie Bee Bard's narration is a treat in itself. She effortlessly switches between characters, giving each one a distinct voice and personality. Her pacing is spot on, building tension and suspense like a pro. The story itself is a delightful mix of mystery, romance, and Halloween fun. I loved how Fox incorporated the animal sanctuary into the plot, adding a layer of warmth and heart to the story. The only critique I have is that some of the red herrings could have been more subtly placed, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise engaging listen.
