The Complete Survive the Fall Series (A Post Apocalyptic Survival Thriller, Books 1-5)

I’ll admit, I was skeptical when I first pressed play on *Survive the Fall*. A post-apocalyptic thriller where a plane crash kicks everything off? Seen it. But Shupert’s writing and Glemboski’s narration made me eat my words faster than Russell eats his first can of cold beans. Glemboski is a revelation here—her voicing of Russell’s internal monologue is raw and unfiltered, especially in the quieter moments where his guilt and grief creep in. She nails the physicality of the story too, moaning through injuries, barking orders during tense escapes, and even capturing the eerie stillness of an abandoned world. The production is clean, with no distracting audio artifacts, which is crucial for immersion in a story this intense. Now, for the critiques: the series stumbles a bit in the middle of Book 3, where the pacing drags during a detour that feels more like filler than a natural progression. It’s a minor hiccup, but it’s noticeable in an otherwise tight narrative. The bigger issue is that some secondary characters, particularly the antagonists, verge on caricature—think one-dimensional villains with no redeeming qualities. That said, these flaws don’t ruin the experience; if anything, they make Russell’s journey more compelling by contrast. By the end of Book 5, I was exhausted, exhilarated, and weirdly invested in what happens to a guy I’d never want to meet in real life.
