The Girl and the Mountain

As someone who's often skeptical of sequels, I was blown away by 'The Girl and the Mountain'. Lawrence masterfully builds on the world of Abeth, expanding its history and lore without losing the sense of discovery that made 'Red Sister' so captivating. Duff's narration is a true joy, her ability to distinguish characters and maintain a steady pace through long stretches of dialogue is remarkable. The story's pacing is near-perfect, balancing action sequences with quieter moments of introspection and world-building. My only critique is that the ending felt a tad rushed, but it's a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding listen.
