I was immediately drawn into 'The Secret Detective Agency' by its unique premise and Kristin Atherton's lively narration. She captures the essence of each character, from the no-nonsense Miss Treen to the bumbling local constable, with a warmth and wit that's utterly engaging. The story moves at a brisk pace, keeping you on the edge of your seat as Jane unravels a tangled plot involving a missing scientist and a sinister organization. My only critique is that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise delightful listen. If you're looking for a mystery that's equal parts suspense and comfort, this is the audiobook for you.
