Listening to 'Merlin's Shadow' was like being transported back to Dark Ages Britain. Simon Bubb's narration is nothing short of exceptional. He effortlessly switches between characters, each with their own distinct voice and accent, drawing you into the story's complex web of alliances and betrayals. The pacing is spot on, building tension and suspense with each chapter. However, I found some of the magical elements a tad predictable, and I wish there was more exploration of Merlin's relationship with Arthur.
