Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As an editor, I was blown away by Martin Jarvis's performance in Something Fresh. His dry wit and precise diction are the perfect match for Wodehouse's writing style, and he brings a level of sophistication to the narrative that's hard to find in modern comedy. However, I did feel that the pacing could have benefited from a slightly faster clip, as some scenes feel a bit slow to get going. Still, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding production. One of the highlights of the audiobook is the character development, particularly in the portrayal of Lord Emsworth's lovable but slightly dim-witted nature. Jarvis's ability to convey the character's insecurities and vulnerabilities without ever becoming too sentimental is a real achievement.
