Opal

I was immediately drawn into Opal's world, thanks in no small part to Virtual Voice's narration. The voice they chose for Opal is perfect - strong and resilient, yet capable of conveying the softness and fear that lurk beneath her tough exterior. The pacing is excellent, keeping the tension high and the story moving at a clip that had me hitting 'play' again as soon as I finished each chapter. I loved the way Woolf weaves in historical details about the old west, giving the story a richness and authenticity that sets it apart from other western romances. My only critique is that I wish we'd gotten a little more insight into Arthur's thoughts and motivations - but that's a small complaint in an otherwise engaging listen.
