Mail Order Mystery

As I listened to Mail Order Mystery, I found myself completely swept up in the world of 1880s Seattle, where the promise of a fresh start and a chance at love is a tantalizing prospect for women like Rachel. Lia Frederick's narration was a major factor in this – her ability to convey the emotional intensity of the story, particularly in the pivotal scenes between Rachel and the Talbot brothers, was nothing short of impressive. Where the audiobook perhaps falters slightly is in its pacing, which can feel a tad uneven in places. Some listeners may find the transition from the more dramatic events of the early chapters to the more introspective moments in the latter half to be a bit jarring.
